If it helps you read more diversely, then that's great, but it should take over your reading plans :)Amanda Grayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04357839391966441808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5523741214914719296.post-91702624186536266532015-03-29T17:12:15.344+01:002015-03-29T17:12:15.344+01:00Of course I can understand that Lisa, you need to ...Of course I can understand that Lisa, you need to read whatever you want, and if challenges take up too much of that time, then no worries, no harm done. They challenge me, that's what they're meant to do, and as long as you use them right, they can be brilliant! :)Amanda Grayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04357839391966441808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5523741214914719296.post-84686955507810525772015-03-16T02:09:41.459+00:002015-03-16T02:09:41.459+00:00Very good point! Unfortunately for me, I'm simply not doing it because I don't want to be limited by the books I read. Maybe one day I'll make one for myself ;) Like I'm planning to do a personal challenge where I'll read a local book from another country once a month. Maybe first, Les Miserables, then second, a Russian story, then the third, perhaps a book written from Japan. Stuff like that!

Faye at The Social PotatoFaye M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/01482378962410177583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5523741214914719296.post-8146119965544288342015-03-14T20:41:33.567+00:002015-03-14T20:41:33.567+00:00When I had more time, I really enjoyed reading cha...When I had more time, I really enjoyed reading challenges! I agree, they really helped me read things I probably wouldn't have otherwise. But now with such little time left in my life to read, I feel like challenges are too much pressure for me at this time in my life. But I really hope to eventually be able to do that again. They are a lot of fun! :)Lisa @ Lost in Literaturehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00455487013837461160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5523741214914719296.post-72565850955752907032015-03-14T16:43:33.540+00:002015-03-14T16:43:33.540+00:00*challenges*challengesN o v a - Z a yhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06071319586825957117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5523741214914719296.post-14617970198731713882015-03-14T16:43:24.011+00:002015-03-14T16:43:24.011+00:00I do challenges in a no stress kind of way. I know right now I'm doing a bingo challenge and I've filled at least half the board, which is awesome IMO.

I do agree that challenges can be good if you stick to them but it also depends on your personality. Since I don't have a good "stick to things" personality, I'm not the best at trying to get the most out of characters.N o v a - Z a yhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06071319586825957117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5523741214914719296.post-88782147934494212092015-03-14T03:20:57.555+00:002015-03-14T03:20:57.555+00:00I hadn't done any reading challenges (well, ex...I hadn't done any reading challenges (well, except for goodreads) until this year. I'M HAVING FUN. I'm doing a Fairy Tale challenge (I think I've read 7 books) and I'm kind of doing a personal sequel/finishing-series challenge. I found someone to sign up with, but I missed the signups, so *headdesk* I'm doing it alone. hehe. But I've finished SO MANY SERIES now! Just having a little spreadsheet really makes me motivated to tick things off. It's glorious. ;-)CG @ Paper Furyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14954615708675952085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5523741214914719296.post-45843080858159224132015-03-13T05:53:58.931+00:002015-03-13T05:53:58.931+00:00Reading Challenges push me into blogging and readi...Reading Challenges push me into blogging and reading more and I feel proud whenever some of my nonreader friends ask me how many books I've read and I'm like 125 and they're like OHMYGOSH do you even have a life?
