New releases are such a bane sometimes, they overwhelm and then put off books sometimes. Mood reading is good for those times for sure :)Amanda Grayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04357839391966441808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5523741214914719296.post-69875571304146750032014-08-10T15:41:05.495+01:002014-08-10T15:41:05.495+01:00I'm with you. I'm busy enough with work and family so new books are not high on the priority list.Julie Shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06462386948229063576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5523741214914719296.post-62603528459339578602014-08-09T20:14:39.127+01:002014-08-09T20:14:39.127+01:00I love series to be around 3 books long (with the ...I love series to be around 3 books long (with the exception of Richelle Mead). I get distracted by other books and series and get excited over those. I usually end up coming back to those series in the end, but at times it can take years. I also always have to reread books before I read the sequel if the release day is ages after, it gets really annoying. Winter) but because we have to wait sooo long other things will definitely get our attention and we tend to lose interest you know? It's not until you hear about it actually being released that the hype may come out for the book again. Same with cliffhangers, we are like OMG WE need to know what happens next but by the time the next book comes out we've forgotten most of the time what happens. Or maybe it's just me :P I really enjoyed your discussion lovely!Jeann @ Happy Indulgencehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02080126376029467613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5523741214914719296.post-8685673324283295122014-08-09T06:20:22.035+01:002014-08-09T06:20:22.035+01:00I lose excitement...it's SAD but it happens. I...I lose excitement...it's SAD but it happens. I can't help it! Sometimes things just take too long. Like I finished reading 5 of the Gone books and had to wait for Light to come out...and by the time it came out I read it because I liked the series, but I'd lost that burning passion, you know?! Same with Rangers Apprentice. I was reading that over, like, 5 years. THAT'S A LONG TIME. And let's face it, I have readers ADD sometimes and I just have too many books to focus on. I'm here. I'm there. My brain is just everywhere. It's a mess. Buuuut, at least I have fun. ^-^ I tell you, though, I was getting to the point of crying over reading Four because I WANTED IT SO BAD BUT I HAD NO MONEY. *stalks library incessantly* And I'm dyyyyying about Heir of Fire. It's on my kindle. IT IS. But I can't touch it because I'm freaking out and nope. I'm waiting till closer to release date. Plus I know it's going to be like 4 more years until all the books are out and that's mildly depressing, right?!Caithttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14954615708675952085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5523741214914719296.post-71439326852524601252014-08-09T04:12:35.481+01:002014-08-09T04:12:35.481+01:00Oh, yes! I'll finish a book and feel as though I'm not going to survive waiting for the next one to be published, but then by the time it's published, I'm not all that interested anymore. Of course this doesn't happen with every series, but it does happen. I think new releases play a big part in this also. Especially when there's lots of hype surrounding a certain book/series. I'm a very mood reliant reader, so I usually just pick whichever book I feel like reading at the time, whether it be a new release or something a bit older.Ebony Ellishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00065013357892944156noreply@blogger.com
